Thereafter, also visit Manavari Hindu Temple which is believed to be the first place where lord Rama prayed the Shiva lingam after the end of the war with king Ravana to liberate Sita. On completion, continue the journey to Anuradhapura

Today, visit Thirukoneswaram Kovil Trincomalee and Shaktipeeth Shri Shankari Devi Temple. Thirukoneswaram Kovil also known as Koneswaram temple was built by sage Agasthyar as per the instructions of Lord Shiva who was impressed by the devotion of King Ravana. This place has the uniqueness of the lord building a temple for his devotee as a reward for his devotion. Later visit the Shankari Devi Temple where it is said that the “Groin” part of the sati had fallen. This temple is most rarely visited and it is very least popular in all AstaDasha Shakti Peethas
Transfer to Kandy, en-route visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya Lion Rock is one of the most valuable historical monuments of Sri Lanka and is referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The fortress complex includes remnants of a ruined palace, surrounded by an extensive network of fortifications, vast gardens, ponds, canals and alleys. It is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescoes) which are similar to those found at Ajanta Caves in India. Later in the evening we will witness a Cultural Dance Show in Kandy
Visit the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic in the morning. The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy houses what is believed to be a tooth relic of Lord Buddha. For Sri Lankan’s this temple is not just a religious site, it is also a symbol of faith, history, and deep-rooted tradition filled with legend and spirituality. After Lord Buddha’s cremation in India, his tooth was retrieved from the funeral pyre, and It was smuggled to Sri Lanka by Princess Hemamali and her husband – Prince Dantha. Transfer to Nuwara Eliya with an en-route stop at Shri Bhakta Hanuman Kovil. The temple sits on a beautiful location and tales relate that this is the location where Lord Hanuman had searched for Sitadevi who was captivated by King Ravana. Also visit a Tea Factory and Platation to see the world’s favorite drink is prepared. Rest of the evening is at leisure the cool climes of Nuwara Eliya
Visit Sitha Amman Temple, Divurumpola and the Hakgala gardens. Sita Amman Temple also known as Ashok Vatika Sita Temple, is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by the Rakshasa king Ravana. According to the Ramayana, Sita prayed daily for her husband Rama to rescue her from this place. Thereafter visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens where King Ravana kept the depressed Sita, insisting that she marries him. It was here where the heartwarming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. On completion, visit Divurumpola Temple where it is believed to be the spot where Sita, Lord Rama’s beloved wife, underwent a “trial by fire” called the Agni Pariksha. This trial was meant to prove her innocence and loyalty after being held captive by king Ravana. The temple is said to be where Sita emerged unharmed, demonstrating her purity and devotion to Lord Rama
Leave for Kataragama en-route stopping at the Ravana Falls. It is said that Ravana kidnapped princess Sita and had hidden her in the caves behind this waterfall. This evening visit the Kataragama temple. This is the temple of Lord Karthikeya Subramaniam at Kataragama. Lord Karthikeya was requested to go to the battlefield by Lord Indra on the last day of war. This was done to protect Lord Rama from the wrath of Brahmasthra aimed by King Ravana which otherwise would have weakened Lord Rama
Leave early and do a safari of the Yala National Park. Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Transfer to Galle with an en-route stop and visit Ancient Hindu mythology believes Ussangoda National Park is where King Ravana landed his peacock chariot. After meeting Seetha Devi, Lord Hanuman decided to test the strength of the mighty King Ravana and his army of Rakshasas. In the event that unfolded Lord Hanuman’s tail was set on fire by the Rakshasas, who in turn went on to torch some parts of King Ravana’s empire and Ussangoda is one of the torched areas
Visit of the Galle Fort in the monring. Galle Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and then further developed by the Dutch and the British over the next 350 years. It covers nearly 4sqkm and is protected by 12 bastions and connecting ramparts. Also visit Rumassala hill 3 kms east of Galle is the landmark of Unuwatuna beach because of the picturesque white Buddhist dagoba on top of it. Rumassala rock is one of the five Sri Lankan spots believed to originate from parts of Mount Dronagiri. They fell down when Hanuman carried the Dronagiri on his flight back to Lanka in order to use its Sanjiwani herb to rescue Lakhshmana and Rama who were in need of this medical plant to be reanimated after suffering severe injuries. Rumassala is also said to be an abode of Sita during her stay in Lanka
Leave Galle and arrive in Colombo. Visit the Kelaniya Temple. After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river. Later visit the Anjaneyar Temple. Hanuman is often called Anjaneyar by Tamils, as his mother’s name is Anjan. This kovil is the first Anjaneyar temple in Sri Lanka and the only one on the island dedicated to Lord Hanuman in his Panchamuga form, which means with five faces. It is said to be the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Anjaneyar
